Consulting

Consultancy provides organisations with a fresh perspective on challenges that may have been longstanding or difficult to resolve, and a process for developing resilient and well-functioning teams.

At its best, work can give us a powerful sense of purpose, agency and community. But our experience of organisations can also be confounding, frustrating and depleting. There is often a lack of clarity about roles and responsibilities, and group dynamics that get in the way of effective collaboration. The pace of change can feel relentless, with little time to stop and think.

In addition to individual coaching, I also work with teams and leaders across a range of sectors to explore and address dynamics that are getting in the way of successful communication and collaboration. This involves identifying particular pain points in terms of organisational culture and how people work together, and then facilitating a process that helps uncover what might be really going on. In this I draw on my training in systemic and psychodynamic approaches as well as my own experience in senior management roles.

This work takes different forms, depending on the specific needs of an organisation. It could involve group consulting and coaching, working with a senior leadership team to help them to understand and respond more effectively to the relational and practical challenges they face. It might be a peer learning programme for new or middle managers, supporting them to take up authority in their roles and learn from the experience of others.

This kind of group support is particularly valuable to teams going through organisational transformation processes, or who have been struggling to respond internally to particular systemic challenges.

If you are an individual or an organisation who is interested in learning more about this, do get in touch for an exploratory consultation session.
